Even though fans were hopeful that Lady Gaga’s new album would arrive in 2016, Elton John has something to say about that.
The legendary musician opened up about hearing some of the tracks off Gaga’s newest project and in discussing that music he let slip when it might be available.

“I’ve heard two or three songs from her new record, which she’s making with [producer] Mark Ronson, and it’s absolutely brilliant, so you’re gonna be really happy when you hear that later in the year or early next year,” John said on his Beats 1 podcast, according to Idolator.
In late 2015, Billboard reported Tony Bennett and Gaga would be collaborating on another jazz album together, this time featuring Cole Porter standards. Rumors have since been circulating that Gaga would release that album first before she shared her latest solo creation. It seems that with John’s latest announcement, a 2017 release date is more than possible.
As for what fans can expect of her new solo album, Ronson recently shared photos on Instagram that showed Gaga collaborating with Tame Impala. It looks like she’s pushing herself into exciting new directions.
Gaga’s last solo album came in 2013 with Artpop.
