American Horror Story hasn’t premiered its fifth season starring Lady Gaga yet, but that hasn’t stopped co-creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy from asking the singer turned actress to return for season six. Murphy went on Twitter earlier today to share news that he had invited Lady Gaga back. The tweet may be an attempt to increase fan support for Mother Monster’s return.

“Lady Gaga is so brilliant in AHS Season 5 that yesterday I officially asked her to join Season 6,” tweeted Murphy. “say yes @ladygaga!”
The anthology series changes its premise every season. While lead Jessica Lange will not return for season 5, much of the show’s regular cast will, including Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Evan Peters.
Murphy’s social media move preempts FX’s decision to renew the series, which has not yet been announced. Still, it seems likely given that American Horror Story is the top-rated show on the network.
