One of the most exciting performances during the DNC took place across the river from the convention floor at an invite-only concert, where Lady Gaga presented an invite-only set for delegates. The Camden Rising event took place at the BB&T Pavilion on Camden’s Waterfront.

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, introduced Gaga, calling her a star who’s not afraid to speak out. After the introduction, Gaga ran onto the stage and into Booker’s arms. “She’s fighting for all of us,” he said, “from victims of sexual assault to people suffering with mental health. She speaks to the gospel of love that she’s put to a pretty powerful soundtrack.”
Gaga opened her set with the Woody Guthrie’s standard “This Land is Your Land,” followed by Neil Young’s “Old Man” and the Beatles’ “Come Together.” She closed with Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose,” wrote The Hollywood Reporter.
The Obamas, Clintons and Bidens were all invited to the event, but the press was not.
George Norcross and Susan McCue, president of General Majority PAC and a former chief of staff to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, hosted the event, which was held hours before Hillary Clinton formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president.
